Make your own findings course
Using traditional jewellery Silversmithing techniques learn how to make your own findings from sterling silver. This can reduce costs &bring individuality to your work. The course is suitable for beginners or for those with some experience.
You will learn techniques such as drilling, filing, soldering, sawing and stamping. These techniques will be used to show you how to make your own ear wires, round headed pins, bails, tags, toggle clasps and jump rings. You will also gain an understanding in the basic principles of making chains and chain mail.
The course is suitable for beginners or those with some experience of jewellery making and want to create more of their own designs. A flexible teaching style offers students to learn at their own pace.
Course dates:
Saturday 6th March 2010, 10am to 5pm.
Sunday 11th July 2010, 10am to 5pm.

Angela is working with used bottle to create wonderful fused glass gifts for the home, including cheese plates, clocks and spoon rests. These gifts are a form of art work but are both practical and tactile. This is a fabulous way to use unwanted materials!
